You need to have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (note: NOT chemistry) at minimum. As for how long it takes, note that this is an engineering program which is very rigorous compared to other majors. It depends a lot on your math proficiency when you enter the system. If you have to take a lot of remedial math courses, the process will take longer. five, even six years. On the other hand, if you qualify to sit for a calculus III course in your first semester, you have a good chance of finishing everything up in four years. And while you can go to a CC for 2 years and transfer, you got to be a little careful about this approach with an engineering degree in mind.
